This business was started more than 20 years ago by Oak Grove Kennel in Oregon to fill the needs of dog trainers, hunters and field trialers.

In 1999, after 10 years of braiding for the kennel, I was able to buy the leather division and continue the time-honored craft. The designs are derived from old western horse gear patterns. I have developed styles for specific needs (wheelchair use, call collectors, training, showing and specific hunting uses).  I now offer seven colors in many combinations plus a modular design, providing many unique possibilities.

I use nickel-plated swivel/snaps for whistles and solid brass hardware for leads. The leads and standard lanyards are braided over a nylon core for stability and strength. I coat the back of the leather with raw bees wax for a finished look. With use the leather becomes more supple and beautiful.  These lanyards will provide many years of use, becoming "old friends" and good luck pieces.

This web site has expanded my reach into the hunting and dog world.  I now sell to hunters and trainers in the USA, Sweden, Canada, Switzerland, South Africa and Great Britain.  I am always happy to work with you to assure proper fit and to answer any questions.  It is a pleasure working with great people and to continue a time honored craft.
